Python Developer

Vodjo is currently seeking a Python Developer that is responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by your co-workers into the application; therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is necessary as well.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong proficiency with Python
• Expertise in at least one popular Python framework (like Django, Flask or FastAPI)
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries
• Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Experience developing backend services and RESTful APIs
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS3
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

DESIRED SKILLS

• Understanding accessibility and security compliance
• Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Development experience in Unix or Linux operating environments
• Ability to work in an agile environment
• Comfort maintaining live production systems
